After two and a half years of negotiations, the leaders of Burma's ethnic armed groups are readying to sign an historic ceasefire with the Burmese government.

The ratification of a ceasefire agreement now in its draft stage would mean an end to civil war after six decades.

Ethnic and government negotiators will meet in Rangoon next week.

Ahead of the crunch talks, DVB sat down with the leader of the Special Delegation of ethnic leaders, Naw Zipporah Sein.

The Karen National Union vice president told DVB that current fighting in Kachin and Karen states has damaged trust.
