Test Drive Ferrari Racing Legends - http://ebay.to/1MMAjcF
Quick Race - my first win in a modern Ferrari! Includes full replay footage. Six laps of the Donington Park short circuit.
This game requires practice, a little perseverance and a degree of relearning as far as driving goes, but when it starts to click, Ferrari Racing Legends can be a lot of fun.
If you are playing with a wheel, keep messing with the in game settings until you find a setup that works - you might be surprised how sensitive the game can be to minor control input changes. My initial attempts at Quick Race events were absolutely horrible, and every car was virtually undriveable. After experimenting and tweaking however, that all changed and whilst I have had to adapt my preferred driving style in order to suit the game and its handling foibles, it is enjoyable and rewarding. The game seems to require and aggressive style, especially when turning in to corners. Steering input needs to be quite sharp and fast to get the nose in and the car pointing the way you want it. If you try to drive too smoothly, it can be done but the result will be much slower lap times. The F430 and F40 both respond well to this, more so than the vintage vehicles. As I unlock more cars, we will see how they compare.
I suspect many people who gave this game poor reviews, or slammed its driving physics, simply gave up on it too soon as they were unable or unwilling to adjust.
