Aug 15, 2016 – Back in May Walmart announce starting June 9, that 500 stores will ditch the policy of Price Matching at Local Stores as a way to streamline and make saving easier for customers.
The Watertown in South Dakota store still does price matching as of today, but no longer carries 2 pound coffee.
I can buy the 2 LB coffee on line and have it delivered to the local store with free shipping if I spend $50 or more.
Anyone want to donate?
Only the smaller can 1 LB 8.2 OZ. is now carried in ALL coffee products. Nothing larger.
And they don’t carry the Flogers Chocolate Silk Coffee any more either, not even on-line! IMO this is a black eye for them. You just don’t mess with my coffee.
I looked on line and I guess none of the Walmart’s do anymore. WTH!
That was my little treat I would sparingly server even to my family . LOL No where in Watertown is it listed for stores to buy from now. Not a single Store In Watertown, South Dakota.
Since Walmart isn’t saying which stores — or even which regions — are affected by this policy change of price matching, the only way for customers to know if they can’t price-match is when they get to the store. The changes will be announced in-store with blue signs at registers, and managers will be on hand to assist customers.
In lieu of the Ad Match program, the 500 stores will offer new “significant, long-term” rollbacks on thousands of items that were commonly price-matched, including consumables, groceries, paper products, and other products.
Walmart says it sees the change as a way to make saving easier by getting everyday prices down.
Maybe that's by getting rid of the products.
