Kin of slain Nepali soldiers having served Indian Army provided financial relief on I-Day

Kathmandu, Aug 15 (ANI): On the occasion of the 70th Independence Day, India on Monday provided Rs 40 crore to the families of 14 Nepali soldiers, who lost their lives while serving in the Indian Army or after retirement. Indian Embassy in Kathmandu provided the relief amount to the families of the ex-servicemen and war veterans. Depending on the length of their service, the families of those killed in the line of duty were provided relief amount varying from Rs 48.05 to Rs 48.19 lakh. Likewise, families of those who died after retirement received Rs 3.2 to Rs 3.33 lakh. The Indian Embassy also gifted 40 ambulances and eight buses to different hospitals, educational institutions and non-profitable organisations.
