Dramatic footage has emerged of a skyscraper being blown up to protect and revive an ancient city in China.
The video, filmed in Datong, Shanxi Province on Monday, shows a 90-metre high building collapsing to the ground following a loud explosion.
According to local reports, the city had plans to conserve an ancient city nearby so the large modern building had to go.
