India is the only nation where the ratio of number of suicides is improving consistently. The life we see on TV and cinemas screen is totally different from the real life of celebrities. What starts with starry-eyed glitz ends up to hopelessness which several celebrities have succumbed to. We list down some celebrities who took this extreme step to end their life. Bollywood actress Jiah Khan, who worked in films like Nishabd, Ghajini and Haousefull, allegedly, committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence. Jiah was brought up in England and had shifted to Mumbai with her mother Rabiya. Parveen Babi: The most desirable, beautiful, glamorous, and talented evergreen lady committed suicide and found dead in her house on 22 January, 2005. Police has found her dead body after 72 hours. Her super hit movies are Majboor, Suhaag, kalapathar and Namakhalal. The tragic end of the 19- year old Divya Bharti, who had fallen from the window of her fifth floor apartment around midnight on 5th April, 1993 still stays as one of the most shocking deaths ever. Whether the promising actress (who had risen within a short period and was expected to reach the top in the coming years of Indian Bollywood) committed suicide or met an accidental death still remains a mystery Popular Yesteryear actor filmmaker Guru Dutt’s death due to a lethal combination of sleeping pills in excessive liquor is still debated as suicide though his family maintains its was an accident. Popular Fashion Model Viveka Babajee, who shot to fame with the Kamasutra condom advertisement in the 1990s, committed suicide in her Bandra flat on the night of June 25, 2010.
