CJ the German Shorthaired Pointer wins for Best in Show at Westminster

CJ, a German shorthaired pointer, won the Best in Show portion of the 140th annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.It was the final Westminster show for David Frei, whose voice has become as familiar as the woof of a beloved family pet during his 26 years as the lead commentator.

The seven group winners who faced off for the big prize were the German shepherd, the top-ranked dog in the country, with twice the points of No. 2; the Skye terrier; the samoyed; the German shorthaired pointer; and three underdogs, all selected Monday night, the borzoi, the bulldog and the shih tzu.
