Model-cum-actor Sherlyn Chopra has now turned a singer. The actor, who was recently in Jaipur for a golf tour, said, "After modelling and acting, this seemed to be the next big thing for me. And for this, I have also taken professional training in music. Very few know that I used to be one of the lead singers in my school choir."
The title of her song is Bad Girl. "By Bad Girl, I am referring to those who are bold and do not become victims of sexual abuse. I have observed that girls who are shy mostly fall prey to crimes like sexual abuse. Through this song, I am sending out a message to young girls to become courageous so that they can fight the evils of society."
On the recent controversy related to her unreleased film 'Kamasutra 3D' and director Rupesh Paul filing defamation case against her, she initially refused to say anything. But when prodded a little, she said, "I have been instructed to remain tight-lipped on the issue by the Mumbai Police as the investigations are on. All I can say is that the film is completely different from what I was offered initially. Iss film me zameen aur aasman ka antar hai.'"
On being compared to the singer and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, she felt amused. "I don't know the reason of my being regularly compared to singer Honey Singh. I can't make out why do people call me his female version? I never tried to be like him. There is no comparison between us," she said.
