Pushpa Kamal Dahal elected as new Prime Minister of Nepal

Nepal, Aug 03 (ANI): CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal was elected as the new prime minister of Nepal on Wednesday. Dahal succeeded in becoming the prime minister for a second term with the backing of the largest party Nepali Congress and Madhesi parties. Out of 573 lawmakers present during the Parliament session, 363 voted for Dahal while 210 voted against him. Nepali Congress, Madhesi Janadhikar Forum Democratic, Federal Socialist Forum Nepal, RPP, Tarai Madhes Demorcatic Party, Sadbhavana Party, CPN (United) among other parties which voted for Dahal.
