RIO DE JANEIRO — New Zealand Jiu-Jitsu champion Jason Lee claims he was taken after being stopped by armed men dressed as Brazilian police officers Sunday and forced to pay them 2000 Brazilian Real, around $600, Stuff.co.nz reported.

Lee says the officers demanded payment or they’d arrest him because he was driving without a passport. He added the officer searching him grabbed his genital area.

Then they allegedly made him to drive the wrong way on the highway toward a police bunker under an overpass, reported Stuff.co.nz. There, he got into an unmarked car with tinted windows, and was reportedly taken to several ATMS to withdraw cash.

Lee says he gave the men the money and later reported the incident to the Brazilian Tourist Police.

The incident comes less than two weeks before the 2016 Olympic Games.
