Dr. Shareef Jandali is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Connecticut who is trained in microvascular surgery and performs breast reconstruction with a DIEP Flap. He along with his surgical team are one of the only teams in Connecticut performing DIEP Flap reconstructions.
A DIEP Flap reconstruction uses lower abdominal tissue to reconstruct the breast after a mastectomy. There is no implant or tissue expander used during this reconstruction.
