Dramatic video shows landslide crashing into houses in China

China's state media released a dramatic video on Sunday (July 17) showing the moment a landslide crashed towards wooden houses in a central Hunan Province village.

According to state broadcaster CCTV, the landslide was caused by heavy and continuous rains on Sunday from 08:00 a.m. (0000 GMT) to 01:00 p.m. (0500 GMT) in Guzhang County.

The landslide crashed on all 14 houses located at the bottom of the mountain causing traffic to be shut down.

No casualties were reported as all residents had been evacuated before the incident, CCTV reported.
