Up until a few years ago, I never wore concealer or foundation . . . because I didn't need to. I was also weary about wearing it because when I saw most people sporting foundation, they always had a demarcation along their jawline of where the makeup stopped, and you could tell they were wearing it. Then I learned the brilliance in the perfect foundation application! It offers an evenness to your skin that, after developing melasma and going through a quarter-life breakout for the books, I wasn't able to attain without a little makeup.
In my opinion, less is more when it comes to foundation, so try the five-dot application method and add more if you need. Also, picking the right brush is key to getting the finish you want! Just need a little makeup to blur imperfections? Use a brush that doesn't have tightly packed bristles. And if you need major coverage, the classic foundation brush is your best friend.
