His Holiness Younus AlGohar responds to a question submitted by a Twitter user asking why more Muslims don’t actively denounce terrorism in the United Kingdom.
Main points:
- Many Muslims do not denounce terrorism more prominently because they practise same ideology of radical Islam as ISIS, Wahhabism. Radical Islam has nothing to do with the original Islam. Very discreetly, the plague of Wahhabism has been promoted in the West.
- In the West, you can practise and preach your faith freely. Secular governments don't scrutinise religious material. Wahhabis took advantage of this. Under the banner of Islam, Saudi Arabia built Wahhabi mosques in the West and gave religious leaders in the community many fringe benefits.
- Every Friday in mosques all over the UK, donations are collected from worshippers. The worshippers are told it is for the refurbishment or extension of the mosque. The funds from one Friday alone are upwards of £50 000 in some mosques. What worshippers don’t know is that often this money is used to buy weapons and support terrorists. Governments should scrutinise where the money goes.
- We respect all faiths and we love all. We don't specifically practise a religion. We understand that the gist of all religions is God’s love. All the religions are mortal, but God is immortal. Therefore, we practise, preach and advocate divine love. We understand violence done for any reason is deplorable. We denounce it not to please others, but to say the truth and exhibit heartfelt pain.
- This is a very dark hour. Before dawn, there's always a dark hour. It's going to get really nasty before it gets really good.
