Srinagar, July 11 (ANI): The shrine of Hazrat Syed Mansoor Sahib is situated in the old area of Srinagar. The saint is considered a preacher of Sufism and mutual brotherhood. Every year, the urs of Mansoor Sahib is celebrated here according to the Islamic lunar calendar. People from different parts of the valley and outside assemble at this popular shrine and pray for peace and prosperity. Thousands of devotees, including women and children come here to pay their obeisance and offer special prayers at the shrine, which resounds with the recitation of verses of Holy Quran. There are several such places in Jammu and Kashmir which have become a symbol the state's culture and traditions. These places also help in spreading the message of humanity and brotherhood by attracting people from all faiths.
