Zella, a 49 year-old oracle elephant in Stuttgart, predicts Portugal will win the Euro 2016 finaL against France on Sunday.
"So it will be Portugal who will be the winner of the Euro 2016 according to Zella."- said Doctor Thomas Koeplin, director of the Wilhelmina zoological-botanical garden
"Today we asked our oracle elephant Zella, who is 49 years old and our big football expert here in Baden-Wuerttemberg, for the Euro 2016 final. We asked whether it would be Portugal or France who would win the final. And she chose Portugal, she chose Cristiano Ronaldo, which was a bit of a surprising choice, but then again, she has made other surprising choices in the past, so we will see if that is true or not. I would have guessed for France to win the Euro and I stick to that, but let's see if she is right or if I am right."-said Doctor Thomas Koeplin, director of the Wilhelmina zoological-botanical garden
"Zella has had a good average. She started by predicting Germany's results in the first round and was right two out of three times. In the last 16 she was great, she was right seven out of eight times. Her rate is around 65 percent, and I think that is quite good, no random result. But she is of course 49 years old, she has experience in the world of soccer, has experienced many tournaments and that is why we see her as the football expert she is."- said Doctor Thomas Koeplin, director of the Wilhelmina zoological-botanical garden
