Hundreds of protesters march against police violence in New York City

Footage has emerged of hundreds of protestors marching against traffic in New York City, USA as part of a 'BlackLivesMatter' protest in the wake of police-related shootings of two black men this week.

The video, filmed on Thursday evening, shows dozens of people with their hands up walking among the traffic in Times Square at the cry of ''Hands up don't shoot''.

According to reports, at least 40 were arrested in Times Square. There were no reports of injuries to either officers or protesters.
