Answer: After registration, the Deeds Office will keep the original Title Deed in order to have it endorsed, numbered and microfilmed. This forms part of our public records and are being kept at the Deeds Office.
The Deeds Office will then after this process, deliver the deeds to the conveyancer’s office, who will then see to delivering the Deed to the Purchaser or, if a bond is registered over the property, to the bond holder of the specific property. Once the bond is settled in full and cancelled, the owner will receive the Title Deed from the bank.
