[] Your body concentrates energy reserves on digesting your meal that are then missing for other tasks. That is about as ELI5 as it can get.

[] Contradictions in logic aren't necessarily false. In fact a contradiction in premises tells you nothing about the validity of the conclusion.
An argument is only invalid if the conclusion is false when the premises are true. But if the premises aren't true, you can say nothing of the validity of the conclusion.
Eg. Premise one, jet fuel can't melt steal beams. Premise 2, jet fuel can melt steal beams. Conclusion, 2+2 is 4.

I'm somewhat hesitant to believe the conclusions of random youtube videos. The proof will be in the experience of average users.
I still don't know what you mean by 'with IR', tracking wavelengths are irrelevant.
Have you used TrackIR much? IR is very sensitive to light levels. Reflections also seem to cause more trouble. Good IR tracking can be fowled far easier than what the lighthouse appears to be doing.
