The yesteryear actress, who is known to speak her mind, told about the Farah Khan directorial without mincing her words.

"HNY is the most nonsensical film I've seen in recent years. I said that to the film's lead actor as well. I watched it only because Abhishek was part of it. I told him he's a great actor if he can act stupid in front of the camera like that. I can't be part of what is being done in films these days and hence I don't do films anymore," she mentioned, according to a Deccan Chronicle report.

Reportedly, the "Guddi" actress' 'nonsensical' remark didn't seem to go well with people associated with the film.

Although, the actress mentioned in her statement that she had told the same (nonsensical) to the film's lead as well, her voicing in a public forum has offended everyone associated with the film. Apparently, Shah Rukh was also hurt by her public remark.

Now, reportedly megastar Amitabh Bachchan has sent a text message to Shah Rukh apologising on his wife's behalf. In the text, he apparently explained that her intention was not to hurt the sentiments of the film or its casts, reported Bollywood Life.

Moreover, Big B felt that it was necessary to make an apology as it is their son Abhishek, who has been receiving a lot of appreciation for his performance in the film.

Even, Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai made an effort to visit Mannat and personally apologise to the superstar.

"Later that night, Abhishek and Aishwarya went to Shah Rukh's house to apologise to him directly," an insider told Bollywood Life.

But, unfortunately, the couple could only meet SRK's wife Gauri as the superstar was out of station.
