How to Make Chinese Glutinous Rice & Pork Meatballs - Xiao's Kitchen

Recipe for: Glutinous Rice & Pork Meatballs

Ingredients:
100g glutinous rice
200g lean mince pork
1 carrot
2 spring onions
0.5cm ginger
1 egg
1 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp oyster sauce
Salt to your taste

Method:
1. Soak the glutinous rice in cold water for 2 to 3 hours.
2. Cut the carrot into small cubes – as small as you can.
3. Finely chop the spring onions and ginger.
4. Place the pork, carrot, spring onions, ginger, salt, egg and oyster sauce into a mixing bowl.
5. Mix all the ingredients together.
6. Take 1 Tbsp of mixture and roll with your hand to form a ball, place onto a dish.
7. Remove glutinous rice from water and drain, Place onto a dish.
8. Roll each meat ball in the rice ensuring an even coverage. Then place onto a dish for steaming.
9. Place the meatballs into a steamer and steam for 30 minutes.
10.Transfer the meatballs onto a dish, garnish and serve.
