A relic from he past and unique in it's own little way this 25 watt repeater is tuned to 462.6250 MHz with a DPL board set up for 412 and belongs to a licensed GMRS operator.
For its age, this unit is in remarkable condition and after a minor repair to the oscillator circuit the transmitter is stable on frequency and re capping the onboard power supply the unit now outputs about 22 watts through the duplexer.
The receiver unmutes at less than 2/10th uV through the duplexer
after I tuned and peaked everything to the service manual spec.
This radio has a telephone handset type mic with a magnet reed switch that mutes the front firing loudspeaker when lifted from its cradle.
The unit can be operated as a repeater or a standalone base station.
The most interesting features about this unit is the unit has a programmable receive offset board on the receiver radio that is programmed via programming shunts on a bi-pin row header.
The other thing is the DPL board on the transmitter radio that uses a ceramic PCB insert that is nothing more than pre-set jumper links to a common pin.
