One of the longest running house shows in Toronto established in 1987 by Mitch Winthrop as “The Rythym Method” the show has showcased some of Toronto’s top DJs who’ve been on the show as regulars or as one-time guests. Dave Campbell was the co-host alongside Mitch Winthrop at one point for a few years and Andy Roberts (MSM Records), Greg Gow and Kenny Moran were also regulars at one point. And just about every Toronto DJ that played house music was a guest sooner or later.
The Rythym Method also showcased International DJ’S/Producers like Roger S, Farley Jackmaster Funk and John Aquaviva as guests among others and have had many artists come by to be interviewed for the show including Larry Heard, Candy J, Adonis, Fast Eddie, Tyree Cooper, Daddy-O from Stetsasonic, The Jungle Brothers (the first live interview!) and of course Robert Owens, who sang LIVE over the instrumental copy of “Can U Feel It” when the studio was in Vanier College
The show then became the Deep Section with Nick Holder (DNH Records, NRK) and in 1999-2006 the show became Beats United Radio and since has had great International and local guests like DJ FLX 3 Degrees (Chicago), Mike Cordeiro (Rythem Life), DJ Vinny, Nick Tolentino (Plusgroove Records), Alvaro G (KOLN), “Jellybean” Benitez (NYC Ain’t nuthing but a house party) & Josh Milan (Blaze NYC)
Tune in and listen each and every Monday night from 9pm-11pm to the finest in Exclusives, Classics, Disco, House, Electronica, Afro Beat & Soul Power music from around the world & interviews with your favorite DJs, Producers & artists.
