Occasionally an inlet may be damaged and thus need replacing. This is a simple process.
Consider the following steps when you want to replace an inlet:
• Undoing the two screws from the inlet and carefully remove the inlet from the wall.
• Remove the wire on the back end side of inlet (recommended that you turn the power supply off at the power unit).
• Take a new inlet and reconnect wires to the new inlet. Take care to ensure that all strands of the wire are neatly secured with the screws and not touching each other, it is best to only loosen the screw about one full turn to secure the wires – ie do not remove the screws as you may loose the spring.
• Insert the new inlet back into wall. Push, tap, and slightly twist as needed.
• Lightly tighten the screws to the new inlet, be careful not to distort the faceplate.
