Kurdish-Arab alliance frees civilians near IS bastion in Syria

Hundreds of civilians escaped a besieged jihadist bastion in north Syria helped by a US-backed Kurdish-Arab alliance surrounding the town, a monitor said. Outside the town in areas reclaimed by the Kurdish-led alliance, residents expressed relief.
