Nepal, June 10 (ANI): The disgruntled Madhesi Morcha along with other parties who have been protesting against the constitution launched a relay hunger strike on Tuesday (7th June) in Nepal's capital, Kathmandu. The alliance of various parties who were involved in a marathon protest now sits at Khullahmach, near the Bir Hospital in Kathmandu, demanding the rewriting of the constitution. The alliance also took the lead when starting Kathmandu-centric protests. It picketed the Administrative Centre, the Singh Durbar, along with the Prime Minister's residence. It has held marathon protests in various locations for nearly two weeks now. The association happened as a result of segregated, less impactful protests that were being organised by the parties individually. The Madhesi Morcha was leading the movement in the low-lying Terai region near the border. To bring more focus to the agitation, it decided to come to Kathmandu. Other parties who have been demanding federal states also joined hands with the party in the capital. They have launched the month-long relay hunger strike hoping to get more support and force the government to fulfill their demands.
