Govt. committed to fight drought: Akhilesh Yadav

Mahoba, June 04 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday assured the residents of Uttar Pradesh’s Bundelkhand region that the Samajwadi Government is working hard to relieve the residents from drought-like situation. The Samajwadi Party leader praised the initiatives taken up by his government to provide meals to all, delivery of potable water through tankers, installation of taps and construction of dams in the state. He added that irrigation to fields will be provided to fight crop failure and over 5 crore trees will be planted in a bid to challenge the weather issues. CM Akhilesh Yadav was addressing locals at Charkhari town in Mahoba district.
