Bright Green Apple Painting in Watercolor- by Chris Petri

2016-06-02 35

This painting is fun because you can relax, not many colors are used here. I used Olive Green, Viridian Green, Cad Yellow Lemon, Cobalt Blue and a touch of Yellow Ochre. I used the contour drawing technique with the apple across from me on a table with white table cloth and white wall behind as the backdrop. My studio is pretty big so I have a lot of space to set up my still life objects. I usually practice still life on a consistent basis, it keeps my senses sharp really and I enjoy the many color variations encountered.
