GOM Player is one of the most popular media viewers around and it has some great features that make it easier to enjoy movies on your PC. I’ll take you through a few of the useful things that come with GOM player.

To start off let’s have a look at the Favorites feature. Any video or audio file you open in GOM Player can be Favorited to give you quicker access to it in future. Just right-click on a video, go to the ‘Favorites’ option, and choose ‘Add Current File’. Next time you open the Favorites menu, this video can be played just by clicking on its name.

Another cool thing you can do with GOM Player is to set up playlists. Again this is really easy. You just click the ‘Playlist’ option from the menu, or press F8. Click the ‘Plus’ icon in the playlist window and browse to the file you wish to add to the playlist. To remove a video, highlight it and click the ‘Minus’. Then just deselect it and it will disappear.

GOM Player has support for skins, so you can customize its appearance yourself. Right click and go to the ‘Skins’ option, then select ‘Skin/Logo Management’. Flick through the list of skins and you’ll see a preview of how the interface will look with that theme applied. You can find more by clicking on the ‘Get More Skins’ button. This will open a web page where you can browse through loads of different designs. When you see one you like, click on the ‘Download’ link and choose to open the file with GOM Player. Then, you’ve got a new look for your player within seconds.

If you think that the GOM interface is still a little fiddly then it’s worth taking advantage of the program’s mouse shortcuts feature. You’ll find these by going to the Preferences menu and then clicking the Mouse tab. Here you can define actions within the player to occur when you perform specific mouse action. It makes using GOM Player a heck of a lot easier.

Well, enjoy using GOM Player and I’ll see you again soon.
