This is me battling Anti Guy at 10 HP. I beat him with no badges except tutorial, no cooking, no shopping except for the other Life Shroom, at the start of the chapter and no upgraded partners.
This boss is against a boss that'll be one of the hardest bosses later in the games. I recommend Parakarry the most on a challenge like this. I would have used Bombette and use her bomb over and over, but Parakarry's Shell Shot is more powerful. Bow would've also been recommended, but not as much as Bombette and Parakarry in my opinion.
You need at least two repel gels and at least one Life Shroom to do this or you'll never beat him.
