"Well, with Hotel Effectiveness, when we had started, I think what became evident quickly to help us get over the past issues was the fact that you got a company that actually understood hospitality.
I think the cloud-based piece of being able to communicate from location to location, being able to see all of our numbers together – I think the comparables of like-size hotels in certain markets to see how are we doing and benchmarking verse it.
And for me, personally too, I use it when I’m underwriting deals because it allows to go and use what other people are running potentially labor-wise to see, “okay, is my models right for this style hotel?” and it allows me to put those labor numbers into use when I’m underwriting potential new deals as well.
I’d say any hotelier that’s out there, whether it’s a management company or an independent owner that does it, the tool and its uses that it allows you to do and control efficiently – it’s worth its weight in gold."
