After winning a title in the 250B division at this year’s Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur Supercross in Daytona Beach, Florida, Orange Brigade KTM rider Max Markolf was expected to duplicate that feat at this weekend’s JuniorMoto-X race in Edmond, Oklahoma. The North Carolina rider excels in the Arenacross/Supercross-type format and likes the tight confines of indoor race. When all was said and done, Markolf finished second behind Jake Masterpool in the 250B Unlimited class, and fifth in the 250B division after going down while battling for the lead with Jordan Bailey. Dirt Rider sat down with Markolf before all action got underway on Friday morning to get his perspective on the event.
