BURLINGAME, CALIFORNIA — The hilarious tale of a father-son vomit fest posted to Facebook Saturday is going viral.
Last week, father Ben Patterson was driving home with his kids, when his son Declan began vomiting. Patterson tried to clean up the mess, but the smell made him throw up as well.
Patterson sent a text message to his wife, detailing the situation, and later posted screengrabs of the messages to Facebook. The tale soon went viral, but what happens next sees the police get involved.
In the screengrab Patterson says after throwing up on a lady's lawn, she asked him if he was drunk and driving with his kids. He explained to her he was a sympathetic vomiter and couldn't handle the smell.
The police showed up and gave Patterson the breathalyser test, which he says he passed. He was soon on his way home, albeit with the windows down and breathing through his shirt, noting that his wife owes him "big time."
