SOMEWHERE IN CHINA — Getting cut in half will piss some creatures off, especially it appears, turtles.
The moment one turtle destined for the cooking pot somewhere in China got revenge on the people about to cook it has been captured on film.
In a video posted to LiveLeak, the turtle has just been hacked in half by a man at a market stall.
But the dissected turtle uses its last seconds of life to exact some figurative "eye for an eye" justice, as it chomps down on the hacker's eyebrow, causing the man what appears to be considerable pain.
Is it fair to argue that eating a turtle isn't any worse that eating a pig? Maybe. But the manner of death seems gratuitous; and we have this nagging sensation the creature might be on some endangered list.
