Today, more clinicians are recommending screw retained implant abutments or implant crowns, especially in the posterior.
Previously, you would have a metal abutment with a PFM over top that would compromise aesthetics, or you would choose a monolithic zirconium dioxide crown abutment. The latter had the tendency to fracture where the abutment, the zirconia, met the titanium implant. Today, though, there are other options.
