Junaid Khan best over in T20 cricket

2016-05-17 1

This must be the best over bowled by the left-arm pace bowler Junaid Khan. He was playing for the Lancashire County in the English T20 league and had to save 6 runs in the final over of the game.

Junaid that day bowled 6 yorkers on a trot. His pace was excellent and all his Yorkers hit the mark. Not a single Yorker went off the line. They were all there where he wanted to hit them.Junaid first ball hit the bottom of the bat and the batsmen were able to get 1 run as a result of this shot. The second ball was again a Yorker and this time even settled Wakely failed to do much about it.

He was on 52 and after he hit the ball into the covers he tried to get a single but a direct underarm throw from the fielder made him late and he was miles outside the line when the ball hit the stumps and the bails fell off.

Junaid bowled this one by going over the wicket. He then went back to round the wicket and the next one was darted outside the off stump and the batsman missed it.On the fourth ball, Northampton batsman was able to get a couple of runs after hitting the ball toward long on. Maroof was late in getting the ball and throwing it to the wicket keeper’s end.

Junaid was left with 4 runs to save on last 2 balls. He then hit the mark again when he bowled a high paced yorker outside the off stump and the batsman was clearly late in getting his bat over the ball. The last ball of the match was again hit with the same line and length.
