"The piano is my life, it's my heart!" says Palestinian-Syrian refugee Ayham Ahmad who this time a year ago was still near Damascus, but left after jihadists burned his piano. The 28-year-old, known as "the pianist of Yarmouk", is now performing at Berlin's Heimathafen concert hall, and sings in Arabic about the horrors and hardships of life in Damascus, the nearby mountains, and the "lost dreams" of the Syrian people.
