NIGEL ONE & JOEL OLIVER
Nigel One and Joel Oliver are a dj/production duo from Kalamazoo Michigan a city exactly in between Detroit and Chicago. Taking inspiration from both cities they have a unique but also traditional midwest house sound. Nigel has released original songs and remixes for labels such as but not limited to Nylon Trax, DNH, Open Bar Music, Coyote Cuts, and of course his own imprint Intimate Venues. Together they have several releases on Intimate Venues as well as remixes for Nylon Trax. They met while Nigel was djing in Detroit and instantly became great friends. Naturally since they were both interested in the same music they began collaborating both on the decks and in the studio and since then have gotten accolades from some of the biggest djs and producers in the Great Lakes and quickly made a very busy tour schedule together. These 2 bring a very balanced mix of raw abstract deep house and soul with a focus on the dancer and the vibes. If you are looking for eclectic selection and smooth but not cookie cutter mixing then these are your guys. Watch out for upcoming releases from these guys as their catalogue is growing quickly and organically.
