Movie: Gravity [2013]: This is a slightly heavy-handed film, but still pretty good over all. It's really a film about an initiation rite. Rebirth. The will to live. The decision to problem solve and defeat rather than be defeated. The capacity of the mind to be the ultimate tool. Really, it has a lot of psychology and mythology embedded within it. If it wasn't lit with a neon sign I'd probably like it better. That said, I love the ending. Except for the horrible music. So I used something I liked better.
Music: Miami Horror: I know almost nothing about these guys other than they're from Australia and only have two albums that I know about. They're pretty good and I really like last year's release. Love Like Mine is also a fantastic track from the same album.
NOTE: This whole edit was specifically designed around a single shot. I used all but five to ten frames of it because it's just beautiful. It's the shot looking down on the debris and ocean as everything hits the atmosphere and scatters; streaming smoke and fire.
I own none of the rights to any of this.
This upload is for the joy of music and movies.
