Paris police evicted 1,600 migrants from a makeshift camp at the Stalingrad metro station early on Monday morning, May 2. It was the third time in only two months that police moved migrants from the station in the north of Paris to shelters, according to local reports.

On Sunday night, only 500 people were reportedly camping out at the metro station, indicating that more arrived overnight to be moved to reception centres.
