Ballia (UP), May 01 (ANI): Launching the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said he chose Ballia to launch the scheme as the number of LPG's connections in Uttar Pradesh is lowest in this district. He added that this scheme will benefit poor families and particularly poor women. PM Modi said the subsidy would be provided in accounts of women so that there is no corruption. The PMUY is aimed at providing 5 crore free cooking gas connections to below poverty line (BPL) families.
