Wake vortexes are a common phenomenon formed when the low air pressure below a plane’s wings and the high pressure above its wings roll-up, creating swirls. This video shows a variety of vortexes – tight tubes of condensed water, spirals which form behind the propellers and large powerful swirls. The vortexes can be hazardous, and need time to dissipate before another plane comes in the initial plane’s wake. Credit: YouTube/flugsnug
