New Delhi, Apr 29 (ANI): Independent directors like Omung Kumar are making quite a name in the industry by introducing reality-based scripts. The director, who had a smashing debut with 'Mary Kom', is yet again on the trail of success with 'Sarbjit.' At the song launch of the film, Omung said independent directors can hit gold if they have a good story to tell their story but Randeep Hooda, who plays the lead in the film, was quite candid when said most of the time independent directors were busy waiting for superstars' dates. The flick narrates the story of an Indian farmer Sarabjit Singh, who crossed the Indo-Pak border under the influence of liquor and was mistaken as an Indian spy. He was kept in the jail for 23 years. He died after six being attacked by his jail inmates in Pakistan. While Randeep plays the role of Sarabjit Singh, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan plays the role of Sarabjit's sister Dalbir Kaur.
