Rajouri, Apr 25 (ANI): A large number of devotees thronged the mountainous district of Rajouri to observe the Urs of Sufi Saint Challaah Sahib. There were long queues and people from all walks of life attended the annual urs and prayed for their well being. Urs of Sufi saint Challaah Sahib is observed annually and people from faraway places come here to pay their respects to the saint. People have high respects for the saint and irrespective of their religion they come here and pray. Rajouri, a border district located 148 kilometres from Jammu, has a population of more than six million, which is a mix of Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs. The region is an epitome of communal harmony where people of all faiths have co-existed in peace and unity.
A community meal is served to the devotees, who take the same as a blessing. As Urs culminates, people return to their respective places with a belief that the Sufi Saint will keep showering his blessings on them throughout the year.
