Gold jewellery worth Rs 10 crore seized in Coimbatore

Coimbatore, Apr 26 (ANI): Election Commission and Income Tax Department officials, in a raid, seized gold jewellery worth Rs 10 crore meant to be distributed in the upcoming assembly elections from the poll-bound Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore city. The ornaments were found from an unregistered shop whose owner is under the custody. Following the incident, several jewellery traders shutdown their shops and threatened to boycott polls.
