Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Pakistan): Last rites of Swaran Singh, former president of Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (PSGPC), were held in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday. An umbrella organisation of Sunni Islamist militant groups, Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan, which is based in Pakistan's Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) along the Afghan border, has claimed responsibility for Singh's murder. Singh was murdered near Pir Baba in Buner district on Friday while going home after attending a political rally of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). PTI chief Imran Khan has made Swaran Singh a member of the Punjab provincial assembly in Pakistan.
