A firm level survey report released by the SDPI reveals that the trust deficit continues to be the primary reason that why people evade taxes. The main purpose to conduct the survey was to gauge the perceptions of the business community on tax and energy reforms in the country. Experts say that the reduced capacity of the state to collect taxes has put a spanner on public service delivery. In addition, the public sector enterprises that are running in loss are adding fuel to the fire.
