Hyderabad/ Jamnagar, Apr 21 (ANI): Residents of Hyderabad city are worried as Himayatsagar Lake, once a major source of water for the city, has nearly dried up. The lake that has long been a traditional source of water supply for the city has little water left in it. On the second consecutive drought, searing heat and depleting groundwater levels are adding to the woes of residents who struggle to get water for their daily needs. A resident Karim Hassan said the water level is so low that even borewells are no longer helpful. The situation is no different in Jamnagar, which is said to be facing its worst water crisis in years. Gujarat government has declared nearly 1,000 villages as partially scarcity-hit. Of these 46 villages are in Jamnagar.
