Bhopal / Varanasi / Gorakhpur, Apr 20 (ANI): People in India face hot and sultry weather as mercury level rose to approx 40 degrees Celsius in most places. The ongoing heat wave is expected to intensify in the coming days with day temperatures likely to remain above normal in parts of central India. Residents of Bhopal district were forced to stay indoors as heat wave swept the area during the day time. In the temple town of Varanasi, the summer is much severe this time compared to previous years, people are taking more of liquid food to keep their body dehydrated. Winter this year was lighter than before with comparatively higher temperatures.
