550 couples from different religions tie knot at mass wedding in parched Maharashtra

Jalna (Maharashtra), Apr 18 (ANI): After getting tremendous response for mass wedding of 577 couples belonging to drought-affected areas and weaker sections conducted by the Shiv Sena at Parbhani and Aurangabad, the Maharashtra state Bharatiya Janata Party president Raosaheb Danve organised a mass marriage for 550 couples. Grooms and brides from all the sections of community, organised at Agriculture Product Market Committee yard ground in Jalna, took part in the event. Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis was also present at the event. Out of 550 couples, 406 couples were from Hindu community, 94 couples form Buddha community and 14 couples each from Muslim and Christian community. This measure has been undertaken by the state government for tackling drought situation in the region.
